This New York based comedian, writer, and actor is definitely proving that versatility is a valuable trait in the business. As a stand-up comic for well over a decade, Phil headlines both comedy clubs and universities throughout the country and internationally.
He performs at corporate events, has been the master of ceremonies for an array of award banquets, and also had the honor of performing for The Kennedy’s at a “Best Buddies” charity function.
Phil has also made numerous television appearances including Showtime, A&E, NBC’s Friday Night Videos, and most recently made his second appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
And yes, no stand-up career would be complete without the mandatory Star Search appearance… and for the record, Phil was the final comedy champion before the show’s demise, forcing him to retain the title for all eternity! What a business!
The literary end of Phil’s career has really kicked into high gear with the sale of his first feature film spec script titled “Honky”, which has put him on the map as one of Hollywood’s hottest new screenwriters.
Phil has written for Saturday Night Live, was the head writer/associate producer of a comedy sports show entitled “Unsportsmanlike Conduct”, and had his own segment called “Tag You’re It” where he interviewed fans and did comedic sketches with celebrity athletes.
Phil recently wrapped up a movie-script rewrite for Disney and director Barry Sonnenfeld, whose films include Get Shorty, The Addams Family, and Men In Black. Phil’s first love, however, is stand-up comedy.
