Michael Allman, eldest son of the legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Gregg Allman, founding member of the world-renowned Allman Brothers Band, has been touring the US wowing his fans with the likeness and Southern Rock/Bluesy sound of his late father. Even while mourning his Dad’s death this past May, Michael and his band continued to follow in the footsteps of Gregg’s belief: “The road goes on forever and we’re going to keep playing!”
Michael has played with such notables as brother Devon Allman, Artimus Pyle (original drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd), Georgia Satellites, Derrick St. Holmes, The Toler-Townsend Band and Paula Nelson, daughter of the infamous Willie Nelson.
In a Tribute to his Father, fans and followers can expect to hear Michael belt out all-time favorites like "Whipping Post”, ”One Way Out”, “Rambling Man”, “Midnight Rider”, “Ain’t Wasting Time No More” and many others, while celebrating his own fame from his 2010 “Hard Labor Creek” CD. He wrote 4 of the songs contained in this acclaimed release and is currently working on several new recordings. Michael and his band have made outstanding performances at BB Kings in West Palm Beach, Nashville, TN and New York City; at the Chicago Blues Festival; the Dunedin Mardi Gras and the 42nd annual Woodstock, just to name a few. This is truly a show you would not want to miss!
