Boca Black Box Center For The Arts is proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with 'Nestor Torres Presents "Viva La Hispanidad!" Concert Series'

Latin Grammy winning flautist Nestor Torres brings his music blend of Pop, Jazz, Classical and Latin genres to the stage on September 23. He will then host 3  of his favorite Latin American Artists from Argentina, Venezuela and Cuba throughout the month of October. "For many years I’ve wanted to share the music and talents of my favorite colleagues with my audiences. Boca Black Box is the ideal, intimate setting where I'm able to do that, and what better way to do it than in celebration of the rich diversity of our Hispanic Culture!"

Composer, Arranger, Teacher and Bandola and Mandolin player, Saul Vera was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He is one of the grea exponents of both Traditional and Venezuelan Folk music. He leads his own musical project called: “The Saul Vera Ensemble”. Saul has the rare opportunity to study and play music from both the academic and traditional approach. Saul Vera has shared the stage with other great musicians, such as Chico Buarque, DJavan, Zimbo Trío, Paco de Lucía, Ray Barreto, Gilberto Gil and Michel Petrucciani. In 1994 Saul Vera was awarded the “Premio Proyecto Eco” by Mozarteum Foundation and the “Casa Miranda” award in London to further his investigation and develop new works in England. In 1997 and 1998 Saul Vera and his ensemble toured European playing important venues in Bonn (Germany), Rome, Paris, Geneva, Bern, Motreaux (Switzerland), and Brussels (Belgium).
